So women have a great life hey.. First there are periods…. Then there are pap smears, then we put ourselves through pregnancy and lets not forget the child-birth!! Then after the stresses of raising kids between holding down a job, cooking, cleaning, looking after the whole family we get hit with Menopause!!!! SHOOT me NOW!!
So I am only 45 years old but apparently am transitioning into Menopause.. Nothing much to worry about.. May only take up to 10 years… YES 10 long fucking years…. Try explaining to the male species “how” you “FEEL” – Ok let me try… I feel like I could lose my shit at any given moment.. Breathe in the wrong direction and I’m off.. Tired would be an understatement – try I would rather curl up and sleep for the entire day. and if at all possible would everyone and I mean everyone (even people I actually like) leave me the fuck alone…And what the hell is a good sleep anyway??? Who the hell gets those with all the hot flushes waking you up, your body feeling like it’s on fire… Oh but wait… The best bit… The non-existent SEX Drive… Got to love hearing the whining about this one..
Like the other night – how about a massage tonight? which is code for I will pretend to massage you and after 5 minutes want to get straight into sex.. My answer… Well No, not really… which is code for I would rather stab myself in the eye with a fork.. THEN you get the attitude because you knock it back.. Now let me just state sex happened only 2 nights before – and yes I still didn’t feel like it but did it out of obligation and concern my husband may internally combust.. Then he hits me up again 2 nights later AFTER a LONG conversation about HOW IM FEELING… It’s not about Sex he tells me, it’s about the distance, about me shutting down and not talking.. SO he was either lying about understanding and it not being about sex or well I’m an idiot….
Now I want it known my husband is actually a great husband – he’s no drop kick who sits on his arse and demands food… I would be in jail by now should he of tried that one.. BUT it pisses me off to no end when he says “it’s not about the sex” when actions like sulking and throwing comments around which are aimed at guilting me into sex manage to come out of his mouth.. Is this not the quickest way to kill any potential sexy time…
I mean would men be happy knowing your faking it? That you’re lying there just waiting for it to be over so you can fall asleep for half an hour before waking up feeling like you’re in a sauna… Are they really that selfish?? So now Im making appoitments with doctors trying to “sort myself” out to keep hubby happy.. Menopause… It sucks…
